Peter Firey Listed as a 2023 Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Star

Harness IP is pleased to announce Peter Firey, an associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. Metro office, has been named to the 2023 Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Star list by Super Lawyers magazine.

Super Lawyers is a rating service for outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Its rigorous, multiphase selection process involves peer nomination, peer evaluation, and third-party validation of honorees’ professional accomplishments. The result is a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys often used as a resource when searching for legal counsel.

Peter’s practice focuses on all aspects of the patent lifecycle, from drafting claims and conducting patentability analyses to assisting with licensing and valuation efforts for granted patents. A former engineer, he enjoys working directly with inventors and invention disclosures to parse the novelties within each new technology and place them in the context of the client’s business strategy. Peter is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School and the Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

Only the most respected attorneys in each state earn the Super Lawyers designation, with no more than 2.5% earning Rising Star status.
