Charlie Franklin is a patent attorney in the firm’s St. Louis office. His practice is focused on preparing and prosecuting patents for a range of clients in the electrical and mechanical industries. He regularly advises clients on the best strategies for maintaining a profitable intellectual property portfolio, provides freedom to operate analyses, and works with small businesses to protect their innovations. Franklin earned his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and holds a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri.

St. Louis patent attorney Elizabeth Odell is also an Associate with Harness IP. Formerly a software developer for IBM and Yale University, she is currently focused on safeguarding the intellectual property for clients in diverse industries, including: software, the mechanical and electrical arts, and communications.  She is also deeply experienced in handling IP transactions as well as providing counsel on trademark and copyright law. Odell earned her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics from Tulane University, and has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri.
