Metro Detroit Patent & Trademark Attorneys Named to List of 2017 Michigan Super Lawyers

Harness IP, a premier intellectual property law firm, is pleased to announce that six patent and trademark attorneys from its Troy office were recently named to the 2017 list of Michigan Super Lawyers while one was named to the Rising Stars list. These honors are granted to only the most respected lawyers in the state, with no more than 5% of lawyers in each state making the Super Lawyers list and no more than 2.5% earning Rising Star status.

The lawyers, named with the practice area, include:

Michigan Super Lawyers 2017

  • Michael Brennan, Intellectual Property
  • Lisabeth Coakley, Intellectual Property
  • Glenn Forbis, Intellectual Property, Intellectual Property Litigation
  • Paul Keller, Intellectual Property, Intellectual Property Litigation
  • Robert Lenihan, Intellectual Property Litigation
  • Gregory Stobbs, Intellectual Property, Intellectual Property Litigation

Michigan Rising Stars

  • Michael Nye, Intellectual Property

Nominations are based on a rigorous, three-step system of peer reviews and independent research to evaluate key indicators of professional success.  The Rising Stars designation follows the same process as Super Lawyers, with the added qualifier that only lawyers who are under 40 and who have practiced law for 10 years or less can earn this prestigious honor.  Selections for both lists are made each year and announced on a state-by-state basis.

Super Lawyers has the stated objective to “create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel.”  Only lawyers who can be hired by the public, such as those employed by private firms, are included in the rankings.
