How Automotive Counsel Are Responding to Industry Changes: Harness IP’s Monte Falcoff Quoted in Managing IP

Harness IP Principal Monte Falcoff was quoted by Managing IP in an article discussing trends and client concerns lawyers are seeing in their automotive practices.

Monte notes that artificial intelligence (AI) related to autonomous vehicle controls has been an ongoing concern for his clients. “Many of the clients I’ve observed have been steadily active in this area, and I don’t see that changing,” he says.

He also points out that the number of patent applications published since early last year mentioning batteries for electric vehicles outpaced the number involving autonomous vehicles by nearly five to one, indicating automotive companies’ much larger concern with electrification.
