Spenser E. Schwabe
Associate / Dallas Metro Office
Spenser puts in the time to understand her clients’ technologies as well as the challenges affecting their business operations. With a degree in industrial engineering and a Lean Six Sigma certification, she works directly with clients and engineers to understand their latest innovations and how they can be applied to create new processes to increase quality and improve efficiency. She then aligns these goals with an intellectual property strategy that seeks to protect each new technology and drive overall profitability.
As a patent attorney with Harness IP, Spenser’s practice focuses primarily on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications for clients in the medical device field. She applies the same principles of quality and efficiency to provide her clients with a superior work product that offers the best possible patent protection.
While attending law school, Spenser interned with both Toyota North America and Thales Avionics, where she gained experience in the legal and business sides of each company. As a result, she is able to anticipate and guide her clients through many of the challenges they face in their daily operations, including contracts negotiations, reviewing employee agreements, and submitting proposals for business opportunities.
When Spenser is not in the office, she enjoys reading, cooking, attending fitness classes, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.
