Federal Circuit Affirms Jury Verdict on Behalf of Harness IP Client

Harness IP patent litigators Glenn Forbis and Brad Luchsinger recently scored another big win for firm client Western Plastics, this time at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  In November 2019, Forbis and Luchsinger attained a jury verdict in favor of Western Plastics that its patent (U.S. Patent No. 8,080,304) directed to an innovative wrap product for steel coils was both valid and willfully infringed by competitor DuBose Strapping.  The jury awarded Western Plastics its lost profits.  The district court then trebled the jury’s damage award and entered a permanent injunction against DuBose from further infringement.

On December 16, 2021, the Federal Circuit affirmed the jury’s verdict and the court’s final judgment on all points.
