Joel Samuels Honored by Leadership Council on Legal Diversity

Harness IP is pleased to announce that Joel Samuels, a partner in the firm’s St. Louis office, was honored with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s (LCLD) inaugural Atlas Award, recognizing his high level of participation and dedication throughout the 2023 Fellows program.

The LCLD is comprised of over 400 legal management professionals, most often firm managing partners and corporate chief legal officers, who have committed to creating a truly diverse U.S. legal profession. Its programs provide education, career guidance, networking opportunities, and leadership training for diverse attorneys at all career points.

The Fellows program targets high-potential, mid-career, diverse attorneys at LCLD member organizations. Joel completed the 2023 course and was recognized with an Atlas Award. The award, given for the first time this year, commends participants who showed the highest levels of dedication throughout their course, recognizing Fellows who participated in ten or more program components during their LCLD program year.

“I have had an exceptional experience with the LCLD Fellows program. I have benefited professionally and personally from the connections with fellow attorneys – all of whom are incredibly accomplished and wonderful persons. This is especially true for my accountability group. It is humbling to be awarded the inaugural Atlas award alongside 61 other Fellows,” Joel said.

Joel focuses his practice on contested matters in district courts and United States Patent and Trademark Office proceedings, including post grant review proceedings and TTAB oppositions and cancellations. His background in economics and business administration, coupled with his work with local manufacturers, gives Joel particular insight into the unique intellectual property needs of a wide variety of clients.

More information on LCLD and its programs can be found on its website.
