Metro Washington, D.C. Patent Attorney Michael Teich Named to Virginia Rising Stars List

Harness IP is proud to share that Metro Washington, D.C. patent attorney Michael Teich has been named to the 2022 Virginia Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers. Only the most respected attorneys in each jurisdiction are named to the Rising Stars list, with no more than 2.5% of eligible attorneys earning the title.

Teich is a Principal and patent attorney in Harness IP’s Reston, Virginia office. His practice focuses on patent procurement and management for global technology leaders in the medical devices, semiconductor, image sensor, telecommunications, consumer electronics, and elevator and people mover industries. His clients have home bases in the U.S. and throughout the world, including in China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Finland, Israel, and Malaysia. Teich is looking forward to resuming his visits overseas to meet with clients and speak at conventions around the globe.

Teich applies his advanced degree in electrical engineering when serving his clients and their most complicated technologies. Further, he closely follows updates in subject matter eligibility issues and uses this information to guide clients’ computer and software technologies through to issued patents.

Teich earned his J.D. with a concentration in intellectual property from Hofstra University. He holds a M.S. in electrical engineering and a B.S. in computer engineering, both from SUNY New Paltz. Teich is licensed to practice law in New York, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., and is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Nominations for Rising Stars is based on a rigorous, multi-step system of peer reviews and independent research to evaluate key indicators of professional success. Those who make the Rising Stars list must also be under 40 and have practiced law for 10 years or less.
