Jeffrey Lin

Jeffrey Lin helps clients develop intellectual property strategies that leverage their ideas and inventions and bring those concepts to market. He is focused on innovations at the intersection of life sciences, technology, and commerce.

Jeffrey is involved in safeguarding intellectual property for clients, primarily handling patent prosecution and the preparation of legal opinions regarding patentability and infringement. He counsels clients on office action response strategies, outlining potential arguments and their use for intellectual property portfolio protection. He also assists with patent litigation preparation, including conducting research and analyzing potential patent infringement.

Jeffrey is a recent graduate of the Saint Louis University School of Law. While in law school, he was active in the Student IP Law Association and the Asian American Law Student Association, serving as president of both groups. He also served as the language group vice president of the school’s International Law Students Association. His prior work experience includes an externship with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office where he argued in preliminary hearings. He also earned intern- and externships with pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, where he gained experience in international IP portfolio management. He earned a Master of Science degree in biology, where he focused on antifungal drug discovery, also from Saint Louis University.

Jeffrey is passionate about the communities in which he lives and works. During his education, he was a leader and member of several Asian American student associations and is currently active in the Missouri Asian American Bar Association.

He enjoys collecting vinyl records, physical fitness, playing acoustic guitar, and traveling.
