Harness IP and Four Attorneys Earn Top Rankings in 2022 Chambers USA Guide

Harness IP is proud to announce that it has been ranked among top law firms for intellectual property in Michigan and Missouri by Chambers and Partners. The annual rankings were announced in the 2022 edition of the prestigious Chambers USA law firm ranking guide.

Chambers notes that Harness IP has a “strong regional presence,” and is “well versed in patent prosecution and enforcement,” citing its “deep bench for prosecution.” The guide further highlights Harness IP’s “substantial prosecution work relating to patents and trademarks,” and its “significant experience in copyright issues.” Chambers goes on to commend the firm’s “wide-ranging assistance with portfolio management,” and “expertise in litigious mandates including inter partes reviews and domain name disputes as well as IP transactional matters such as due diligence.”

Additionally, the firm is pleased that four of its attorneys are also ranked for their outstanding level of client representation as well as practice area leadership:

Principal Matt Cutler, based in the St. Louis office, is noted as “well known for his extensive experience in IP litigation.” Chambers highlights “his handling of inter partes reviews, as well as his strength in noncontentious mandates such as patent applications” and says that he is “responsive and attentive to client needs.”

Glenn Forbis is a Principal working in the Detroit Metro office. Chambers lauds him as “a noted patent litigator who regularly handles high-stakes disputes for clients from a range of highly technical industries.” This is Forbis’ first accolade from Chambers USA.

Greg Meyer, a Principal based in St. Louis, is recognized for having “a growing reputation for his expertise in patent prosecution and litigation in the Missouri market.” The guide points to his work “with clients from a range of areas, including the agriculture and financial services spaces.”

Lisabeth Coakley, Senior Counsel in the Detroit Metro Office, “receives acclaim for her well-established trademarks practice, which sees her frequently counsel clients on the filing and enforcement of their IP rights throughout the world.”

Chambers USA is one of the most distinguished guides to law firms and lawyers across the country. Each year, Chambers & Partners conducts thousands of in-depth interviews with clients to assess the reputations of business lawyers. Top firms and lawyers are ranked, and their merits described – usually in the words of clients interviewed by the Chamber’s research staff. It is the weight of client interviews that gives Chambers & Partners’ guides their highly valued credibility and reliability. For more information, visit www.chambersandpartners.com.
