Three Harness IP Attorneys Named in St. Louis Small Business Monthly’s Annual “Best Patent Attorneys” List

Harness IP (https://www.harnessip.com), one of the country’s largest and most respected intellectual property law firms, is pleased to announce that Anthony Fussner, Greg Meyer and Michael Thomas of the firm’s St. Louis office have been named to the list of “Best Patent Attorneys.” Former Harness IP attorney Elizabeth Odell, who retired in 2017, was also included on the list.  St. Louis Small Business Monthly published the 2018 list of winners based on a reader poll conducted by the publication.

Fussner’s practice includes preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications for large multi-national corporations, emerging businesses, and individual inventors.  In addition to helping his clients obtain patents, he handles a broad spectrum of other issues involving intellectual property protection, including trademarks, copyrights, contested matters, and rendering patent non-infringement and invalidity opinions.  Fussner earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla.

Meyer, a St. Louis patent attorney, focuses primarily on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications related to electrical and computer technologies in the United States and abroad.  He is also experienced in handling intellectual property litigation matters throughout the United States, and also patent review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board within the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Meyer holds a J.D. and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from St. Louis University.

Thomas has more than 20 years of patent and trademark law experience, including worldwide patent and trademark preparation and prosecution, patent and trademark portfolio management, licensing, and in providing infringement and validity opinions.  He also has considerable experience in handling patent and trademark litigation in federal courts and in Inter Partes Reviews (IPRs) at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).  Thomas has argued successfully before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  He earned his J.D. from St. Louis University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla.
