Chris helps his clients capture their marketplace by identifying their competitive advantages and safeguarding them with patents, trademarks, and other intellectual property assets. His efforts lead to ongoing protection for research investments and marketplace identity.

He focuses primarily on patent law, including patent preparation, prosecution, and related patent agreements.   • Prosecution of trademarks for branding of retail products in the food and consumer products industries
  • Negotiation and preparation of licensing agreements for intellectual property assets of a non-profit agency

Prior to practicing law, Chris worked as an engineer in the design and construction of heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems for office complexes and retail spaces. His time spent as an engineer helped him to better understand what motivates client decisions.

Recognizing a need for an understanding of the privacy landscape for his trade secret clients, Chris earned the Information Privacy Professional certifications in the US and Europe (CIPP/US and CIPP/E).
