Three Harness IP Attorneys Chosen to Participate in LCLD Leadership Programs

Harness IP is pleased to announce that three firm attorneys have been chosen by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to participate in two of its prestigious and comprehensive legal talent development programs.

Alex Chang, a Principal and registered patent attorney in the firm’s Reston, Virginia office, was chosen to participate in the 2022 LCLD Fellows Program. Now in its eleventh year, the Fellows Program is a highly structured initiative that equips diverse attorneys with the necessary skills, knowledge, and presence for leadership positions within law firms and corporate legal departments. Fellows have proven to be indispensable to key clients and teams, are invested in attorney mentoring and professional development, and are on a trajectory towards leadership positions.

Jewell Briggs and Jennie Turchyn, both Associates and registered patent attorneys in the firm’s Troy, Michigan office, were selected for the 2022 LCLD Pathfinder Program. LCLD launched this program in 2015 to train early-career in-house and outside counsel attorneys in critical career development strategies, such as leadership and professional networking. Pathfinders are recognized as emerging leaders within their organizations.

Upon completing the Fellows and Pathfinder programs, Chang, Briggs, and Turchyn will become part of a community of nearly 4,000 LCLD Alumni who mentor younger diverse attorneys, continue with their own career training, and maintain a dynamic national network.

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession.

The three Harness IP attorneys were nominated for the LCLD programs by the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
