Nancy’s 20-plus years as an intellectual property attorney give her exceptional insight into the very specific needs of clients seeking to protect their innovative products and processes. She provides a high level of counsel regarding protection strategies for a variety of companies in industries such as consumer products, food processing, pharmaceuticals, packaging, manufacturing, and business processes. Her practice focuses on advising clients on portfolio protection strategies as they relate to business goals. She has a keen appreciation for the necessity of superior patent prosecution. Without it, clients may waste valuable resources and miss lucrative opportunities to protect their innovations and inventions. She has prepared and filed hundreds of utility and design patent applications and routinely conducts freedom to operate, infringement, validity, and state-of-the-art competitive landscape searches and analyses.

Nancy began her career as an IP lawyer at a boutique law firm in Greensboro, North Carolina, learning firsthand all facets of the patent prosecution practice. She gained additional experience at a national law firm in metro Washington, D.C., before joining Harness IP.
