Colette E. Verch

As an associate attorney with Harness IP, Colette Verch helps bring clients’ designs to life and protects their intellectual property (IP) rights through effective patent prosecution and enforcement. Leveraging her experience in engineering, Colette develops successful strategies to best serve her clients and ensure that they are informed and prepared throughout the patent prosecution process.

Colette is valued for her unique perspective and understanding of complex mechanical and material engineering concepts. She is particularly passionate about projects in the chemical, automotive, manufacturing, and software industries. In addition to her degree in materials science and engineering, Colette also has a background in automotive engineering.

Colette is a Michigan native, having grown up in Waterford and attending school in Ann Arbor and Detroit. Before joining Harness IP, Colette worked as a Design Release Engineer at General Motors. While attending law school, she worked at Harness IP as a patent agent and law clerk.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS/PASSION PROJECTS

Outside of the office, Colette enjoys Pilates, yoga, and running. She is an avid traveler and loves to read. Colette has two dogs, Miloh and Marvin. During the summer, you can often find them outdoors in the beautiful Michigan weather.
