Paul prepares and prosecutes domestic, international, and PCT patent applications in the electrical, computer, and mechanical fields, including computer hardware, computer software, telecommunication systems, semiconductor devices, integrated circuits, image processing and robotics arts. Paul also represents clients in patent litigation involving a wide variety of technologies, including microprocessor design, personal navigation devices, electromechanical systems, telecommunications systems and computer software. Additionally, Paul is experienced in preparing and prosecuting domestic trademark applications.

Prior to becoming a patent attorney, Paul worked for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Examiner where he focused on patent applications related to multi-processor/multi-core processor designs, operating systems, cloud computing and related computer networking technologies. This experience helps him understand the perspectives of Patent Examiners as he counsels clients on how best to navigate through the patent application process.

Paul also has significant work experience in software programming and electrical engineering, acquired while working as an engineer for a defense contractor. This real-world experience gives Paul a deeper understanding of the inventive process scientists and engineers go through when developing new technologies and innovative solutions to complex, technically-challenging problems.
